What does the official Brushland trailer show?

Transhuman Design’s announcement trailer (~81 s, ID Qbi4fKsKdSg) is the main public moving reference for Brushland before the Q1 2027 demo. The timecodes below come from our own frame-by-frame review of the video and the Steam screenshots (checked 2026-10-18), and they describe only pixels and on-screen text, not inferred progression rules. For the dated facts behind the trailer, see the announcement recap .

Toolbar and building tools (what the video proves)

Across HUD-visible frames, the bottom bar consistently exposes terrain and structure brushes (water through path/palette/grid) plus undo, redo, and settings. Steam screenshots label a Development Build v0.3.6 with high frame rates; treat numbers as debug overlays, not final performance claims.

Steam’s written store page describes neighbor-based upgrades (roads, fields, castles). The trailer does not show one continuous shot of “draw road → building morphs into church,” so we do not treat that as video-proven here—read the store text on what is Brushland separately from this frame list.

Villagers, egg?, and requests

The only readable villager request string in this material is egg? (with icon). Developer FAQ answer: We’re looking into it. No mine, bridge, or job text appears as readable bubbles in indexed frames, even though the Steam description mentions bridge and mine requests in prose.

What the trailer does not show

Per the wiki visual audit (trailer + seven Steam shots, 2026-10-18):

  • Share-code UI or pasted kingdom strings
  • Level editor mode or Steam Workshop browser
  • Multiplayer lobby or co-op HUD
  • Price, release calendar dates, or platform logos beyond Steam wishlist CTA
  • Colour palette cycling through 42 looks (palette icon exists; process not demoed)
  • Verified narration script (no English auto captions were available for machine export)

For Steam feature tags without footage, see level editor and Workshop overview .
